Terms and Conditions

Carbon and electric bikes have a maximum rider weight of 120 kg, as specified by the manufacturer. Road and city bikes are not permitted on dirt or unpaved roads, as only Gravel and MTB models are allowed on non-asphalted terrain. We recommend always keeping your bicycle in sight and never leaving it unattended in public areas.

Receiving the bike: The hiring client will receive the bicycle in perfect shape and clean. Any concerns about the condition of the bicycle should be made before accepting the bicycle. We recommend to check the bike before leaving the shop. All modifications/adjustments will be made at our facilities. If any modification/adjustment was made outside, the deposit would be retained until it was verified that everything was correct.

ID, Passport and Deposit: When receiving the rented equipment, the client must provide us of a valid passport or ID for European citizens and a credit card or debit card (having sufficient funds to cover both the deposit and any damages to the rented equipment), from which a deposit of €500.00, €300, €200.00, €150.00, €100.00 or €50.00 depending on the bike rented will be taken. Once all the rented equipment is returned in perfect order the deposit will be refund to the client. When the deposit is unblocked from your card and you have your ticket it is your bank responsibility the time that it takes to make your refund. Bankkarte cards are not accepted for deposit.

Contract between parties: The minimum hiring equipment age is 18 years old. The applicable rates are the ones published at the moment of hiring equipment. In case the customer doesn’t meet the necessary conditions, the company has the right to refuse equipment rental. Any hiring contract time extension should be first agreed by the company and should be requested before it expires. The company reserves the right to deny any requested time extension. The rental periods are for days and it is understood as hour shop opening hours. Any period of time that does not enter within this time slot will be understood as another day.

Equipment returns: Clients must return all equipment at the agreed date, place and time. In case of returning the bike before the agreed date we will not return any money. Returning the bike dirty will have an extra charge of €10,00. If bike is returned later than the closing time, it will be– charged as an extra day. It is the client responsibility to look after equipment against damage, lost and stolen. Bicycles must be returned in the same conditions; any loses and damage of equipment will be paid by the client at the moment of returning equipment.

Cancellation policy: The full rental amount will be refunded without the need for justification only when the cancellation is made with a minimum of 31 days prior to the start date of the rental. Any cancellation made outside this period will only be eligible for a refund in cases of illness supported by official medical documentation, flight changes supported by both the original and modified flight tickets, or any other circumstance duly justified with official documentation. In the absence of such justification, no refund will be issued. In case of a refund, a 5% fee will be deducted as a handling charge.

Insurance and bike stolen: A 3rd party insurance is included in the total price of hiring for all bicycles. At moment of signing the contract the client confirms that he has enough funds to cover any extra bills for equipment loss or damage. It is the hiring bicycle client responsibility to comply with the Spanish traffic rules. Terral Bike Rental SL will not be responsible for a client breaking the traffic laws. We strongly recommend that each customer have travel insurance that covers theft and medical assistance. In any case, the customer will always have to pay for the bicycle in the first instance, committing Terral Bike Rental SL to collaborate with any document requested by the insurance company. The price for a stolen bike will be the retail price with a depreciation of 20% per year due from the date of purchase.

Bicycle faults during periods of hiring: Any failure of the bike part will be repaired or replaced as soon as possible. In case of leaving in your aid not being responsibility our will have an additional charge.

Tours: When you book a tour, the price includes: bicycle and a third part insurance. Each client will have a hiring contract on their names and stating tour route. We strongly recommend that each customer have travel insurance that covers theft and medical assistance. In any case, the customer will always have to pay for the bicycle in the first instance, committing Terral Bike Rental SL to collaborate with any document requested by the insurance company. Signing this contract the client accepts that he/she knows the traffic rules in Spain and he/she says that is fit to do sport.
