Description
This step is required to confirm your bike rental. Its purpose is to securely register your card so the deposit can be held before pick-up.
A small validation amount of €1 is charged at this stage and refunded straight away. This is not the deposit. It simply allows us to register your card securely through Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.
During checkout, please make sure to tick the box “Save card for future payments” so the deposit can be processed correctly.
Before pick-up, the deposit amount is pre-authorised on your registered card. This means the funds are temporarily held, not charged. The deposit ranges from €50 to €500 depending on the bike rented.
Your card remains registered as a guarantee for the full rental period. If any damage, loss, or missing equipment is identified at or after the return, the corresponding amount may be charged to the registered card.
Once the bike is returned in perfect condition, the deposit hold is released in full. The time it takes for the held funds to become available again depends solely on your bank. Prepaid cards are not accepted.
